I am Dr Mahmoud Ali, from Palestine.
Dr Phillip Hardo asked me to tell you something about the PLAB test, hopefully you found it helpful.
In general you have to pass through three exams
1-English language-ILETS –Overall score must be 7 or more; but in speaking the passing score is at least 7.
2-PLAB 1 - is a written exam in all branches 200 q, passing score variable. 3 times a year.
3- PLAB 2 (OSCE)- is a practical exam 16 stations, most of them are counselling,
One rest station, pass rate is 80%.
None of these exams are difficult but you have to prepare in appropriate way,
More information you can found on GMC site where you can found a Video tapes about the exam.
Passing all of these exams gives you a chance to work in the UK.
But nobody will offer you a job; you have to found it, that’s difficult but possible
After passing the exams you may have to wait on average 6-7 months to found a job.

After passing PLAB 2 you become Eligible for Limit Registration upon job finding
And when you got a job for one year you will have a full registration.
But what I have to say that the situation here becoming more difficult
That’s because of rush of Doctors from Eastern Europe and Asia,
And in the UK there are a lot of changes over the teaching system, that’s mean
(In short) the jobs will be less and competition more,
So I advice you to think well about the future plans.
