مرة سألني شخص أميركي عن رواية عربية منيحة مشان يقراها ، قال بدو يتعرف على الادب العربي ... فطبعا أنا وقعت في مأزق لأنو كنا عم نحكي عن الأدب الانكليزي ورواياته العظيمة فمن وين بدي أجبله رواية عربية ما اتشرشح من وراها ... المهم دورت دورت وبالاخير ... ما في! ما لاقيت ولا رواية عربية منيحة خرج يقراها مواطن بسيط غير عربي ... حدا عندو فكرة ؟

انا قلتله على رواية نجيب محفوظ بس طلعت 1300 صفحة ! يعني ما بتنقرا ... وبعدين شو رح يفهمه بهيك رواية كلها صايرة بحواري القاهرة؟ مو مناسبة ...

الترجمة غير الأوريجينال ... فهيك كنت طالعتو على كاتب عربي وكاتب بالانكليزي !!

رواية الحرب والسلام لليو تولستوي 4 أجزاء ما معناها انها ما بتنقرا ... وهي من الكتب اللي لازم تقراها قبل ما تموت !!!!!!!!!!

كليو باترا في شوية كتب لازم الواحد يقرأها قبل ما يموت ، إذا ما عندك مانع رح نزلها: 1- التوراة (ما بعرف ليش تجاهلتيها .. بس معذورة يمكن منشان الصراع الصهيوني-العربي)2- مراثي اللات و العزى .. د.نبيل فياض3- ام المؤمنين تأكل اولادها .. د.نبيل فياض4- يوم انحدر الجمل من السقيفة .. د.نبيل فياض5- نقض سدنة هياكل الوهم .. د.عبد الرزاق عيد 6- أيها العقل من رآك ... د. عبدالله القصيبي
